Swisskern is a Swiss brand of micro-encapsulated liquid food supplements in single-dose 15 ml sachets. The five formulas are developed in Switzerland by Biokern AG in Appenzell and share the K+ Longevity Complex. Swiss patent pending.
Micro-encapsulation surrounds each active nutrient with an ultra-fine shell made from plant-derived phospholipids (from sunflower lecithin). The shell protects the nutrient on its way through the digestive tract, so that more of it can be absorbed. Every Swisskern formula uses this technology in a liquid matrix.
Bioavailability describes how much of a nutrient actually reaches the bloodstream after you take it. A high amount on the label helps little if most of it is not absorbed. That is why Swisskern focuses on how nutrients are delivered, not only on how much each sachet contains.
In randomised controlled studies at Surya Research Clinics in India, micro-encapsulated glutathione reached up to 63.6 times higher blood levels than non-encapsulated glutathione, and micro-encapsulated curcumin up to 46.7 times higher. Liquid micro-encapsulated vitamin C reached up to 21.6 times higher blood levels than micro-encapsulated vitamin C powder. The studies tested single ingredients, not a finished Swisskern formula.
Each formula comes as a ready-to-drink 15 ml liquid in a single-dose sachet. The nutrients are already dispersed in the micro-encapsulated liquid, so there is nothing to swallow, dissolve or mix. Shake, tear and drink, no water needed.
Swisskern has filed a patent application in Switzerland for the K+ Longevity Complex contained in every formula. The patent has not been granted yet, which is why we say «Swiss patent pending».
The K+ Longevity Complex is the shared base of all five formulas. It combines four trademarked plant-based actives: Olecol®, Brainberry®, MicrobiomeX® and Actiful®. Each active has been studied in its own clinical trials, which are listed in the Swisskern Scientific Dossier.
K+01 Life is the Swisskern formula for long-term wellbeing and healthy aging, formulated with heart, gut and mind in mind. All five formulas contain the K+ Longevity Complex; K+03 Cell adds a focus on cellular renewal and K+04 Beauty on skin aging.
One sachet costs CHF 10 a day with the 15 or 30 sachet box, CHF 9.67 a day with the 90-day protocol (CHF 870) and CHF 8.50 a day with the K+ Membership. The price reflects the micro-encapsulation technology, the four trademarked actives of the K+ Longevity Complex and the ready-to-drink single-dose format.
